• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or receivable
• Mortgage industry or financial services experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Accounts Payable:

• Review and process vendor invoices and payment requests
• Ensure proper approval and coding of invoices
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of all payments and transactions
• Prepare weekly payment runs (ACH, check, wire)
• Monitor and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner

Accounts Receivable:

• Track incoming payments and post receipts to appropriate accounts
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up as needed
• Work with internal departments to reconcile billing discrepancies
• Maintain records of all customer payments and deposits
• Assist with monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with payroll/commission processing  

Other Duties:

• Support the accounting team with audits, month-end close, and ad hoc reporting
• Assist with maintaining compliance with financial controls and company policies
• Identify and recommend process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
